About the Images

Most of these photographs were taken with an iPhone and minimally processed using iPhoto.  The iPhone camera is like a digital Lomo or pinhole camera; no two shots of the same subject even under the same lighting conditions are ever quite the same – weird things happen to colours and sometimes the focus slips in some parts of the picture, but not in others. Because of the lense's fixed focal length, you as the photographer have to do the heavy lifting; if you want detail, you better get up close and personal with your subject, which, if it happens to be a rotting elephant seal, can test your photographic zeal . . .

Please feel free to use these shots for your own work – just remember to credit the Crowbard as the original source of the image and include a link to this site. Oh, and do send him a copy of your work – the Crowbard is a very curious fellow.
